Generally we only halibut fish on a 5/6hr charter due to the distance from the dock to the fishing grounds which is usually about a 30min ride.

5 Pink Salmon Aka "Humpies"
5 Chum Salmon
The Tackle
We you 9' light weight Salmon rods with Penn Fathom reels.
Using 25lb Sufix premium fishing line.
Using a verity of tactics depending on the anglers ability.
Most commonly used tactic is Trolling each angle is able to have 1 rod out at a time.
We will jig salmon with smaller metal vertical jigs slowly working all water columns.
As well as Mooching for salmon.

What is Mooching for salmon?
All you do is hook a plug-cut herring to a set of tandem hooks on a 7 or 8-foot leader. Tie the leader to a mooching sinker of four to eight ounces; Slowly drop it all in the water and fish it until a salmon rings your bell. This no-brainer illusion quickly evaporates when you fish next to a master of the art.
